American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with an active AK license and strong cultural sensitivity for a hospital position in Alaska.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
- Patient ratio is 1:4
- Complex patient population with significant social histories, including domestic violence
- Charting is done using Cerner EMR
- Navy scrubs required
- Scheduled for day shifts (3x12 hours), including every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating required
- Position is for a 13-week contract
- Block scheduling may be discussed during the interview
- Local candidates within 100 miles are not eligible
- Exposure to a diverse and complex patient population
- Facility is recognized as a Magnet Hospital
- Must be prepared to work most major holidays; up to one week RTO may be requested but must be made up at contract end
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Parking is free and available in a nearby structure
- Active AK RN license required prior to start; compact licenses accepted at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years ER RN experience required
