Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with an active CA RN license and recent L&D experience for a night shift contract.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery department of a hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Care for both routine and high-risk obstetrical patient populations
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Responsibilities include providing care to laboring mothers and high-risk OB patients
- Must have active licenses and certifications; pending applications are not accepted
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Compliance with vaccination requirements may be necessary
- Travelers may not work more than 2 years within the health system without a 90-day break
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 1 year of recent (within past 3 years) full-time L&D experience
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
- Preferred: 5+ years recent Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years
- Preferred: 1 year high-risk L&D experience within the past 2 years
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
