The Operating Room RN Facilitator oversees and coordinates the efficient utilization of the operating room during weekend night shifts at a medical center. This role requires at least two years of operating room nursing experience, current RN licensure, and effective communication with surgical teams and support staff. The position supports patient flow management and scheduling under the guidance of Operating Room Managers.
Novant Health is hiring an Operating Room (OR) RN Facilitator for the Weekend Only Night shift for our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC.
- Schedule: 48 hours per pay period, Weekend Only Night Shift, 7pm – 7am
- Department: Operating Room – 17th Street
- Requirements: Minimum 2 year Operating Room experience.
About the Operating Room Department:
This Registered Nurse facilitates effective and efficient utilization of the operating room. Relates to a variety of personnel and keeps alert of patient flow in relation to schedule. Oversees and coordinates with the Support Associate to receive/make telephone calls and schedules cases, Position requires frequent contact and communication with others. Works under the direction of Operating Room Managers.
What We're Looking For:- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
- Experience: Two years Operating Room experience, required.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
- ENPC, TNCC or CEN; preferred.
- NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire, required.
