Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of recent CT experience, ARRT (CT) certification, and an active WA license for an acute care assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an acute care hospital CT department
- Work schedule is 12-hour day shifts, Saturday through Monday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- On-call is required every Wednesday from 11:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Performs inpatient, ED, and outpatient CT exams with an average of 1-2 scans per hour
- IV placement is required as part of daily duties
- Uses GE Optima 660 CT scanner and McKesson PACS
- Charting is completed in Epic
- Professional scrub attire is required; any color is acceptable
- Initial orientation lasts for 2 weeks
- Daily duties include IV placement and performing a variety of inpatient, emergency, and outpatient CT scans
- Radiologist is on-site 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and reachable by phone 24/7
- The hospital is a level 4 trauma center
- Dedicated transporter support is available Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- No holiday shift coverage required
- Returning travelers may not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year
- Candidates must maintain active required licensure and certifications throughout the assignment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT experience
- Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification
- Current WA CT license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with Epic EMR and McKesson PACS preferred
- Must provide own radiation badge
- Demonstrated IV placement skills
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
- Copy of driver's license is required for consideration
