Travel Nursing Job Details

• Setting: Acute Care – Med/Surg Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: May 4, 2026
• Duration: 17-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (0645 start)
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Shifts per week: 4 (based on 48 guaranteed hours and 12-hour shifts)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680–$1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience with at least 1 prior travel nursing assignment OR 4 years of Med/Surg RN experience without travel
• Active Registered Nurse license (Georgia or compact state)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification
• ASLS certification preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Ability to float between units and adapt to changing assignments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to diverse medical-surgical populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including CNA, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and OB/Neonatology staff
• Monitor, assess, and document patient care using Meditech EMR
• Float to designated units as needed and respond to changing assignments
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations with permanent staff
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and colleagues
