A Locum Tenens Urgent Care Physician is needed for a well-established urgent care clinic in Western Illinois, offering flexible shifts and a collaborative environment. The role involves treating minor injuries, respiratory illnesses, dermatologic issues, and performing procedural tasks such as splinting and suturing. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in emergency, family, or internal medicine, with relevant certifications and an active Illinois medical license.

Location: Western Illinois
A well-established Urgent Care clinic in Western Illinois is seeking a Locum Tenens Urgent Care Physician (MD/DO) to join its team. This role offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative work environment, and the opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, supportive setting.
ScheduleShifts: 6a 6p or 10a 10p (typically 4 consecutive shifts)
MD/DO may work independently from 6a 9a
NP may work independently from 9p 10p
Walk-in clinic averaging patients per day, shared among 3 providers
Typical urgent care presentations include:
Minor orthopedic injuries, x-rays, splinting, suturing
Foreign body removal (eye, skin)
Respiratory illnesses (cough, sore throat, flu)
Dermatologic complaints (rashes, minor infections)
Urinary tract infections, STD testing, pelvic exams
Procedural skills required: Splinting and suturing
RequirementsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
Certifications: ATLS and PALS required
Active Illinois medical license
Prior urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred
Consistent 12-hour shifts
Supportive staff and collaborative environment
Manageable patient flow and straightforward clinic operations
