Physician / Hospitalist / Alaska / Permanent / Alaska Locum Hospitalist-Physician - Start - Ongoing - 10 shifts per month

Ongoing locum role covering 20 inpatient days/month with supportive onsite specialists in Alaska. Locum hospitalist in Alaska; permanent locum arrangement; start ASAP but no later than Feb 20, 2025; schedule: ~20 inpatient days/month (5 on/15 off) split between two providers; average daily census 10–12; EMR: Evident. - Active Alaska medical license - Board certification preferred - MD/DO in Internal Medicine (Hospitalist), Family Medicine (Hospitalist), or Med-Peds - Credentialed for inpatient pediatrics - Ability to lead/participate in daytime codes

Welcome to an Exciting Locums Hospitalist Opportunity in Alaska! Location:

Start Date:

As soon as credentialed, no later than February 20, 2025

Schedule:

20 days of inpatient hospitalist coverage per month, split between two providers

Rotating: 5 days on, 15 days off

Patient Volume:

Average daily census: 10-12

Scope of Practice:

Inpatient Hospitalist Duties: Rounding and admissions

Procedures and Codes: Lead or participate in daytime codes

Pediatrics: Credentialing required for inpatient pediatrics

EMR System:

Evident

Support Staff & Resources:

3 employed hospitalists in the group

24-hour ED coverage

OB/GYN and Certified Nurse Midwives available for newborn care (NRP and well-baby care)

24-hour respiratory therapy

Onsite radiology (business hours) with interventional radiology support

24-hour general and orthopedic surgery coverage

Requirements:

Active Alaska medical license

Board Certification preferred

Open to Internal Medicine (Hospitalist) and Family Medicine (Hospitalist)

Internal Medicine-Pediatrics
