Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Details:
• Work day/evening shifts with 4 x 10-hour shifts per week for 40-hour work weeks
• Variable schedule with call requirements
• Must have prior Cath Lab and IR experience
• Washington state Rad Tech License or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist License required
• Must be graduate of approved program of radiological technology or cardiovascular technology
• Required certifications: ARRT, RCIS, CI, HRE, or RCES
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Operate fluoroscopy equipment, Epic EMR, and MERGE hemo-dynamic system
• Accept and assess patients to determine proper handling and special requirements
• Orient patients to lab environment, equipment, and procedures
• Use extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes for proper positioning
• Maintain fluoroscopy equipment, contrast injector, and other equipment in proper working condition
• Perform clerical duties including verification of information and exams using Epic and PACS
• Update exam descriptions and properly charge medical/surgical supplies
• Set up required equipment according to standards and perform prep and scrub procedures using sterile technique
• Record hemodynamic readings per standards for each procedure
• Work in Cath, IR, and EP labs maintaining current skills and following department protocols
