GI Physician, permanent hospital-employed role in East Texas; primarily adult/geriatric; covers one community hospital; schedule ~10 days/month call (includes one weekend/month); dedicated clinic and OR/GI suite days; ERCP not required; high procedure volume (~1,500 scopes/year). - Medical degree and board eligibility/certification in Gastroenterology
- Active TX medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience performing endoscopy (upper/lower scopes); ERCP not required
- Comfortable with hospital-employed model and inpatient collaboration with hospitalists
Full description
Medical Center is seeking a GI physician to work collaboratively with the current general surgeons and assist with reestablish our GI service line
The incoming GI will be the primary provider for scopes within the community
Hospital employed position covering one hospital
Primarily an adult and geriatric patient base
No clinic call requirements
Hospitalists will admit patients as needed
Call schedule:10 days/month including one weekend/month
Dedicated clinic and surgery days, which will be determined by the oncoming physician
ERCP is not required
2024 ? 1500 scopes performed (the volumes are there for significantly more)
5 OR?s and 2 GI suites
Generous compensation package aligned with MGMA median or higher
Base salary guarantee with wRVU production
