The role is for a board-certified Cardiovascular Surgeon providing holiday locum coverage at Bon Secours St. Francis Downtown hospital in Greenville, SC. The surgeon will perform high-acuity cardiovascular surgeries such as aneurysm repair, CABG, and heart valve replacement while managing inpatient rounding and on-call duties. Full travel assistance is provided, and candidates must hold active South Carolina medical licenses and ACLS certification.
Assignment Overview:
Bon Secours St. Francis Downtown in Greenville, SC is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Cardiovascular Surgeon to provide holiday locum coverage for critical surgical and hospital rounding needs. This is a hands-on, high-acuity environment where your expertise will directly support patient care during peak holiday coverage periods.
Dates of Coverage:
November , 2025 (Thanksgiving +Weekend)
December , 2025 (Christmas +Weekend)
Practice Setting:
Inpatient hospital rounding and surgical coverage (if required)
24-hour schedule with on-call responsibilities( 24 hour call shifts each day)
EMR: Epic
Required Procedures:
Aneurysm Repair
Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
Heart Valve Replacement
Cardiothoracic Surgery
Travel & Logistics:
Full travel assistance provided (flight, hotel, rental car)
Mileage reimbursed at the current IRS rate
Submission Requirements:
Board Certified in Cardiovascular Surgery
Active South Carolina License(Required will not accept candidates needing to obtain)
Active ACLS Certification - IPL can help with this if needed.
Clean Background and Self-query NPDB report at submission
