Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Maryville, Tennessee 37804 (Great Smoky Mountains region)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1770 – $1820
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Step-down from ICU, no vents or pressor support)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), block scheduling
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Unit Size: 28 beds
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Tennessee RN license or compact state nursing license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• At least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience with ER holding preferred
• Ability to float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Completion of pre-assignment testing and required modules prior to start (reimbursed up to 16 hours)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; manage cardiac drips (heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, sotalol initiation; no titration required)
• Care for patients with higher oxygen needs, dialysis, post-cardiac procedures, and a variety of medical diagnoses
• Perform central and peripheral line care, wound care, tracheostomy management, and feeding tube care
• Float to other Medical/Surgical units within the hospital as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, rapid response, and more)
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
