Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in New York requiring EPIC EMR and 2 years of recent ED experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a busy Emergency Department within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am
- Requires care of diverse adult and pediatric emergency patient populations
- Use of EPIC EMR is mandatory for all staff
- No blocked scheduling is permitted
- Competency testing may be required as part of onboarding
- Travelers may not live in any of the following NY counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington
- More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial application
- Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications must be from AHA or RQI
- Previous EPIC EMR experience is required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
- Medical documentation is required for FLU exemption; personal or religious exemptions are not accepted
