ICU RN Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
• Location: Rhinelander, WI 54501 – Northern Wisconsin healthcare jobs
• Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Unit
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100 - $2250
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Floating: May float to similar units and nearby Aspirus healthcare facilities within a 40-mile radius
• On Call: On-call pay available during low census hours
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 3, 2026

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Critical access or rural hospital experience highly preferred
• Experience caring for pediatric surgical patients (ENT or orthopedic cases) a plus
• Willingness to float to similar units and nearby healthcare facilities as needed

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult and occasional pediatric patients
• Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in the ICU
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic medical records (no prior EPIC experience required)
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
• Float to similar units and nearby Aspirus healthcare facilities as needed
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and best practices
