American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health assignment with weekday shifts, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Home health setting serving geriatric and middle-aged patients with no pediatric cases
- Daily caseload of 5-6 patient units
- Patient diagnoses include orthopedic, cardiac, neurological, pulmonary, diabetes, and other conditions
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with coverage approximately every 6th weekend and 2 holidays
- No on-call or floating to other facilities required
- Epic EMR is used for charting and Epic experience is required
- Responsibilities focus on providing quality patient-centered care and developing patient care goals
- No pediatric patients are served in this position
- Participation in a multidisciplinary team including other therapists and clinicians
- Orientation provided with a preceptor
- Scrubs are provided as the required attire
- Parking is available at the office
- No more than 7 days of requested time off permitted per 13-week contract, with no time off allowed during the first week of orientation
- First-time travelers may be considered after interview
- Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Active state Physical Therapist license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent physical therapy experience in a relevant setting
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience using Epic EMR required
- Strong case management, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to supervise PTAs and work independently
- References from supervisors within the past 2 years preferred
- Eligible candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
- No pending licenses accepted in Illinois; Missouri allows submission with pending license if requirements are met
