Level II Registered Nurse - Stepdown/PCU Experience Required
Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleSchedule-D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule - Weekends, Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs.
Job DescriptionThe Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. The role includes responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.
Responsibilities- Provision of high-quality nursing care in a stepdown/PCU setting.
- Monitoring high acuity stroke and neurosurgery patients.
- Assisting in various procedures such as EVDs, lumbar drains, and VP shunts.
- Performing Q1 neuro checks and managing critical care drips.
- Acting as a charge nurse and preceptor as needed.
- Must have Stepdown/PCU experience.
- RN License (only NY Licenses accepted).
- Two (2) years of experience in a high acuity nursing environment.
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Telemetry experience required.
- Experience with arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, and deep brain stimulator (DBS) insertion preferred.
