Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active OH or compact license and recent Med/Surg Tele experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Night shifts with 3 or 4 twelve-hour shifts per week, starting at 19:00
- Patient care includes both medical and telemetry cases
- Must work at least every other holiday
- Annual training modules and clinical assessments are required
- ECG and medication assessment tests are completed during orientation; must achieve acceptable scores within two attempts
- Candidates must pick up their badge and complete onsite fingerprinting before start date
- Permanent and per diem employees must wait at least 1 year before returning to this health system
- Night shift role requires coverage for every other holiday
- Exemption from nicotine-free requirements currently applies to nurses in this role
Requirements
- Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand is required
- Minimum 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- No open background check cases or license hits allowed
