Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery for a night-shift travel assignment. The L&D RN will provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns, supporting patients through all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery in a collaborative clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Administer medications, IVs, and epidurals per provider orders
- Interpret fetal heart monitoring strips and respond to changes
- Provide patient education, emotional support, and advocacy
- Accurately document care in accordance with clinical standards
Requirements
- Active California RN license (in hand)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN or C-EFM
Additional Information
- Night 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 – 07:00)
- Travelers must meet all compliance requirements prior to start
