Permanent role performing diagnostic MRI studies in a fast-paced hospital setting, following UF Health policies and safety protocols. - ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registration preferred - Must pass ARRT/ARMRIT MRI certification exam within 1 year - Current BLS certification - Prefer completion of accredited MRI program and 1+ year radiology/MRI experience - Able to communicate effectively and work under high-stress clinical conditions

Overview:

Performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment in a fast paced environment, requiring independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative; following department and hospital policies and procedures in a safe and productive manner.

 

The MRI Tech must be effective with communication, clinical skills, and able to work positively in a high stress environment with patients, peers, families and other internal / external personnel. The MRI Tech is responsible for carrying out the mission and goals of UF Health Shands, assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the patients care. Other duties will be assigned within the scope and licensure of the MRI Tech.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Prefer experienced MRI Technologists. Prefer satisfactory completion of an accredited MRI program with advanced MRI certification or registry eligible for MRI certification. Prefer at least one year of experience within the Radiology or MRI department with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy a plus. Candidates that are not MRI registered may be required to complete the Medical Imaging Consultants (MIC) MRI Cross-Trainer dependent on the level of experience Motor Vehicle Operator Designation None provide Licensure/Certification/Registration Prefer ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT registered technologist. Must pass the ARRT or ARMRIT advanced examination for MRI certification within one year of employment as a MRI Technologist. Must have current BLS certification
