Job Details:

• 1 year of recent experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Every other weekend requirement
• BLS certification required
• No on-call requirements
• Required to float within scope to MS, ICU, and ED units
• Day/Evening ratios are 5:1 (stretch to 6-7), Night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch to 8-10 if staff calls in)
• 4 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 20-bed unit
• Primary patient diagnoses include cardiac and stroke patients
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Scrub color requirements: any combination of navy and white
• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions
• Work with special equipment including Hoyer lifts
• Support from PCT staff for vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living
• In-house phlebotomy team handles peripheral lab draws; nursing responsible for PICC lines and central lines
• NY license required in hand to submit
• Not accepting local candidates within 75 miles
• Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours)
