Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU/CCU/MICU position requiring 2+ years of recent ICU experience and a compact or KY nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Position located in the ICU/CCU/MICU unit of a hospital
• Patient ratio is 1:2 in the critical care unit
• Uses Meditech EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• 36/48 hour weekly rotation with alternating weeks of 36 and 48 hours
• Bi-weekly orientation provided
• No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Must be able to provide care for critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced environment
• Traveler pairs are not permitted for this position
• Holiday coverage and rotating weekends may be required
• All vaccination and credential requirements must be met by start date
• Assignment confirmation is needed within 24 hours of offer acceptance

Requirements

• Active RN license for Kentucky or compact state required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or MICU experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Driver’s license required for consideration
