Practice Highlights:
- Patient Encounters: 17-20 per day (admissions & rounding)
- Average Census: 16 patients
- Hospital Beds: 131
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Rounding Schedule:
- One rounding day physician (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.) plus one Advanced Practice Clinician (APC)
- Night Coverage:
- APC covers nights
- Daytime hospitalist takes night telephone call
- ICU Coverage:
- Intensivists cover ICU beds Monday to Friday
- Hospitalist team covers nights and weekends
- Procedures:
- Rapids & codes required
- Vent management required
- EMR System: Cerner
