American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient role requiring at least one year of experience and a current BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Position is based in an outpatient department at a critical access hospital with a Level IV trauma designation
- Therapy services include outpatient, acute care, skilled nursing facility, wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialties
- Clinician will float as needed to inpatient and SNF settings within scope
- Patients of all ages and diagnoses are served in this department
- Use of Epic EMR is required
- Day shift schedule is 5x8 hours, typically 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with some weekend shifts required
- Clinicians are expected to float between all facility buildings within the state to meet patient care needs
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Returning employees must have been separated for at least 3 months and live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Facility-provided housing and rental vehicle available exclusively for the traveler during assignment; no pets allowed and family members require special approval
- Vehicle provided must only be used within a 30-mile radius and may not be taken off-road
- Scrub color is flexible or business casual attire is acceptable
- Free parking provided on site
- Requested time off (RTO) must be addressed at the time of application; post-submission RTO requests may be denied
- Current AK Physical Therapy license required; license required if applicable
- At least 1 year of recent relevant PT experience in a similar setting
- BLS certification required
- Experience using Epic EMR required
- Must provide valid driver’s license and proof of insurance to operate facility vehicle
- Two recent supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty are required
- SSN and Date of Birth required for consideration
- COVID and Flu vaccination may be required
