Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Stepdown position in an intermediate care unit, requiring a KS or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a Stepdown Intermediate Care unit within a teaching hospital
- Medical/Surgical patient population
- Night shift, 19:00-07:30
- Use of Cerner OneChart EHR system
- May float to similar units as needed
- Ceil Blue scrubs are required
- Work collaboratively in a teaching hospital environment
- Float to similar units as directed by staffing needs
- Holiday and weekend shifts may be required as scheduled
- No COVID vaccination required for assignment
- Radius rule applies and local candidates may receive a different pay structure
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience in a similar setting
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Nursys license verification and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to start
- NIH Certification preferred
- MOAB De-Escalation Training preferred
- Applicants must have a US Social Security Number and US address
- Driver’s License, skills checklist, and two professional references required for consideration
