The Chief of Gastroenterology position in Atlantic City, NJ involves leading a high-impact academic division focused on advanced clinical care, research, and education in gastroenterology. Job Responsibilities:- Design and lead a cutting-edge GI program aligned with Vision 2030.
- Establish a dynamic academic GI division emphasizing research, education, and advanced clinical care.
- Develop and expand advanced GI services, including complex endoscopic procedures.
- Recruit, train, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of GI hospitalists, faculty, and support staff.
- Serve as a clinical leader, managing complex GI cases.
- Facilitate collaboration across specialties, especially in cancer care.
- Ensure consistent endoscopic block time and manage strong referral volumes.
- Foster workforce development through mentoring and culture-building.
- Enhance access and address health disparities by engaging underserved communities.
- Maintain compliance with required certifications and disclosures.
- This position is open only to experienced gastroenterologists.
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology (REQUIRED).
- Active and unrestricted NJ state medical license (or willing to obtain before start).
- Valid BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications (or willing to obtain before start).
- Experience in program startup or leadership roles is preferred.
- No new graduates; only experienced gastroenterologists will be considered.
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology (REQUIRED).
- Active NJ state medical license (REQUIRED).
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications (REQUIRED).
- DEA and CSR/CDS certifications (REQUIRED).
