Job DescriptionOur nursing unit is a flexible unit that caters to both floor and step-down patients based on the hospital's needs. The diverse patient population primarily presents with medical diagnoses.
Responsibilities- Manage a patient load of 6 in MedSurg and 3 in Stepdown settings.
- Titrate drips as per physician orders, including but not limited to Heparin, insulin, and various pain management medications.
- Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors, especially during the unit's initial opening phase.
- Utilize CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory support equipment based on patient needs.
- Contribute to the care team with nursing assistants (Clinical Associates) to ensure optimal patient care ratios.
- ACLS (AHA) Certification
- BLS (AHA) Certification
- Experience managing stepdown or MedSurg patients is preferred, but both new and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
