Are you a skilled and enthusiastic Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) with a passion for surgical orthopedics? We are seeking a motivated individual to join a well-respected medical group in a unique role that offers a blend of practice locations in the beautiful Florida Keys and potential corporate involvement.

In this full-time position, you will collaborate closely with dedicated surgeons, providing comprehensive patient care both in person and via telehealth. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough surgical history and physical exams, ordering and interpreting essential diagnostic and lab tests, and developing effective plans of care. You will also have the opportunity to write prescriptions (including controlled substances as privileged), first assist in surgery, and perform surgical procedures within the operating room under the direct supervision of the surgeon. Clinic-based procedures will also be part of your role, performed under direct or indirect supervision.

This synergistic partnership with the surgeon will allow you to utilize your highly technical skills to enhance patient safety and contribute to positive surgical outcomes. You will ensure continuity of care by effectively managing patients throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. Inpatient responsibilities will include rounding, consultations, wound care, and bedside procedures. Within the outpatient setting, you will manage clinics, perform clinic procedures, facilitate crucial family and patient education, and have the opportunity to participate in grand rounds. As a surgical practice expert, you will work collaboratively with staff, administration, patients, and families to ensure the highest quality of care across the entire patient journey.

What You Will Need:

• Master's Degree.
• NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant.

• Demonstrated proper surgical and sterile technique.
• BLS/ACLS certification (required as per specialty).
• National Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Ability to obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges.
• Compliance with state requirements for CEUs/CMEs and licensure renewal.
