Reliant Staffing Solutions/RSS Medical is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Los Angeles, California.

Job Summary:

- Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry unit; may float to Med-Surg as needed
- Care for adolescent to geriatric patient populations
- Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias using telemetry (both on-unit and remote monitoring)
- Perform post-cardiac procedure care (angiogram, MI, cardiac cath, cardiac surgery)
- Administer blood products, manage central lines, PICC lines, and start IVs
- Follow and manage Heparin protocols, cardiac drips, and vasoactive drips (no titration required)
- Manage respiratory interventions: chronic ventilated patients, chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC, tracheostomies, oxygen delivery devices
- Ensure all care is consistent with med-surg and telemetry competencies (rated 3 or higher)
- Work every other weekend; no on-call requirements
- Wear royal blue scrubs
- Maintain required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Must have at least 2 years Telemetry experience and 3 years overall nursing experience
- Able to read and interpret cardiac strips
- Adhere to strict RTO (requested time off) guidelines during the 13-week assignment
- Open to first-time travelers
