The Speech Pathologist provides diagnostic evaluations and treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. This role requires a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA certification, and state licensure. The position supports patient recovery by developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to improve communication and swallowing functions.

Responsibilities:RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Coordinating, consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential.

Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology. BLS certification through AHA.
