American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position in the Adult Emergency Department requiring a compact or OK RN license and ACLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in the Adult Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shifts, 3x12 hour shifts per week, with weekend requirements
- Care for a variety of adult patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- May be responsible for ED patient holds
- Required to live more than 50 miles from the facility location
- Responsible for administering medications, monitoring physiological data, assisting in procedures, and providing patient and family education
- Tasks include IV and blood product administration, documenting patient responses, and delegating to support staff
- Will interact with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
- Compliance with scrub or dress code required as per hospital policy
- Active RN license in Oklahoma or a compact state
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Minimum of one year of emergency department nursing experience
- Good communication skills and ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
