Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Room, utilizing advanced clinical skills and knowledge. The nurse will triage and manage patients with various emergency diagnoses and participate in life-saving interventions as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide emergency care to adult patients and participate in triage activities.
- Administer IV therapies, including blood product administration and vasopressors.
- Manage ventilated patients and utilize CPAP/BiPAP as required.
- Perform cardiac monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias for timely intervention.
- Handle a variety of emergency cases including trauma, stroke, and critical care patients.
- Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and maintain safety protocols.
- Active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact).
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- EPIC experience is required for charting.
