RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on a 54-bed Med-Surg unit including an 11-bed dedicated ortho/spine unit
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for RNs with RN/LPN team managing 10 total patients
• Care for medical-surgical patients, orthopedic and spine patients, trauma patients, and psych medical hold patients
• Use equipment including Alaris pumps, remote telemetry, continuous pulse ox, specialty beds, wound vacs, chest tubes, and feeding tubes
• Document using Meditech system
• At least one weekend required within 4-week period with blocked scheduling on case-by-case basis
• Floating within unit's discretion
• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and active RN license; ACLS optional
• Must wear grey scrubs uniform
• Perform procedures including post-catheterizations without intervention, lap appy/chole, thoracentesis/paracentesis, HD/peritoneal dialysis, and CBI
• Work with unit secretaries until 8pm on weekdays, with tech and extern availability
• Opportunities for overtime and incentives as appropriate
• Flexible scheduling with consistent communication from department leadership
