Position Responsibilities

• Support surgical admissions, client communication, medical record accuracy, and discharge coordination

• Prepare patients for anesthesia, including pre-op diagnostics, bloodwork, and radiographs

• Induce, maintain, monitor, and recover anesthesia; perform accurate drug and CRI calculations

• Set up and break down operating rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization

• Act as scrub nurse and maintain strict aseptic technique during procedures

• Circulate in the OR, anticipate surgeon needs, and aseptically open instruments/supplies

• Clip, prep, position, and connect patients to monitoring equipment for surgery

• Maintain, clean, wrap, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and equipment

• Handle, prepare, and submit histopathology and microbiology samples

• Support emergency transfers, hospitalized patients, and provide clear communication across teams

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in surgical or emergency settings. High school diploma or equivalent required, LVT certification is prioritized.
• Have an understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc. with a strong understanding of anesthesia, patient monitoring, and aseptic technique, familiarity with surgical equipment cleaning, wrapping, and sterilization.
• Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
• Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) are required; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
