Emergency Medicine Physicians provide continuous coverage in a critical access hospital, managing 1.5-2 patients per hour and working closely with Advanced Practice Providers during peak hours. Responsibilities include performing a wide range of procedures such as intubations, chest tubes, and resuscitations across all ages, utilizing EMR systems like Meditech. Providers must meet state requirements including ATLS certification and possess recent case experience to ensure high-quality emergency care.
- In need of EM coverage. This will be ongoing coverage and can have no gaps.
- Current schedule is 2 providers per 24 hours working 12 hour shifts.
- Coverage is supplemented with employed APPs that work 10a-10p.
- 1.5-2 patients per hour on average12 hours of mid-level assistance during peak hours
- EMR - Meditech
- Must be comfortable with all ages. A minimum of 250 case logs in the last year.
- The state of ND requires ATLS for any EM provider practicing in the state.
- Must be comfortable with all procedures (Intubations, Chest Tubes, Central Lines, Critical Care, Procedural Sedation, Airway Management OB/GYN and Deliveries, Adult and Pediatric resuscitation).
- Feels more like a big hospital, but it's actually a critical access hospital. A lot of support staff that you find at a bigger hospital.
- Mid-levels work 12 hours a day 10-10p. On Mondays, they have 2 APPs due to higher census.
