Location: Albany, Located in the heart of New York s Capital District, is a medium sized area with an approximate population of 98,000, offering all the amenities of a larger urban area in a beautiful, scenic, and affordable setting.
Facility:- Acute care community hospital in northeastern New York state.
- Provides 442 beds and has more than 900 staff physicians and nearly 6,000 employees.
Opportunity:- Practice setting: high volume inpatient heart center
- Number of Operating Rooms: 30
- Schedule: variable- 8,10,12 hour shifts
- On call: The call rotation is 1:5 with first call every eighth night, no second call.
- Cases are primarily cardiac and vascular, there is no OB or trauma.
- Provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, and other complex cardiac surgeries.
- Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: Cardiac Cases per day- 6-8 cases
- Will NOT be required to supervise CRNAs
- Patient demographic: primarily adult and geriatric- some child
- The physicians provide general and regional anesthesia for a variety of endoscopic, cardiac, orthopedic, pediatric, obstetric, cosmetic, and general surgical procedures.
- Collaborate closely with our team of cardiac surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care of cardiac patients.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of anesthesia protocols and practices within the institute.
