• Coverage Type: Clinical Only (No Call)
• Coverage Period: 11/03/2025 Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: 12- or 24-hour shifts (Days, Nights, Weekends)
COVERAGE DATES
• Seeking coverage starting November 3, 2025
• PRN availability needed, with priority for last two weeks of December
• Approximately shifts per month between two locations
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Pediatrics, NICU
• Patient Volume/Census: daily
• Admissions: Yes
• Rounding: Included
• Case Mix: NICU patients including neonates; some simple pediatric surgeries (e.g., hernia repair)
• Additional Details: Level 3 NICU, 3,500 deliveries/year; high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide used
FACILITY INFORMATION
• EMR System: Cerner
• Specialty Backup Available: Neonatologists (2 during the day, 1 at night)
• Support Staff Available: RNs, APPs
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage for NICU Pediatric Hospitalist shifts

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Maryland medical license required (IMLC not accepted)
• Board: Board Certified in Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospitalist
• DEA: Required
• Certifications: ATLS, BLS, NRP required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year; must have Level 3 NICU experience within the past 3 years
• Charting: Experience with Cerner EMR required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide inpatient NICU hospitalist coverage, including admissions, rounding, and procedures
• Collaborate with neonatologists and pediatric specialists to deliver comprehensive care
• Manage pediatric patients requiring NICU-level care and simple surgical interventions
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR
• Participate in interdisciplinary team care, including communication with families and staff
