About the Opportunity Kayenta Health Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to provide outpatient care to adult patients in a rural, underserved Native American community in Northern Arizona. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct outpatient internal medicine care.
- Conduct comprehensive exams and diagnostic assessments.
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and manage therapeutic regimens.
- Collaborate with nurses, behavioral health providers, and specialists.
- Document patient encounters in the EHR.
- Participate in quality assurance and clinical team meetings.
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Completion of Internal Medicine residency.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Current DEA license.
- Minimum 2 years of internal medicine experience preferred.
- Experience with Native American or underserved populations is a plus.
- Competitive daily/hourly rate (DOE).
