Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Utility Patrol Driver in Gibsonton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. As this is an armed and driving post, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols by vehicle, interacting with visitors and staff, and providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats within the utilities environment.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
• Communicate and cooperate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Maintain awareness of site-specific protocols and requirements for armed patrol posts within a utilities setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
