American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Observation Unit position requiring inpatient experience and an active OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based ER Observation Unit
- Inpatient setting caring for a range of patient conditions from simple to complex
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- No floating to the ER; ER experience is not applicable
- Patient assignment and care coordination responsibilities
- Provide observation-level care, administer medications, monitor physiological data, and document patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and other staff, assist with minor procedures, and coordinate discharge planning
- Ability to delegate tasks to support staff
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as per unit needs
- Team-oriented environment with a focus on comprehensive patient care
- Active Oklahoma RN or multistate compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- At least one year of inpatient RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Some computer skills required
- Applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
