Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a 14-bed overflow unit accommodating ED boarder patients in a med/surg telemetry setting
• Function as a flex space within the GI Endoscopy area with patient numbers varying based on demand
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 7 patients during nights
• Every other weekend coverage required with 4 weekend shifts per contract
• Floating required throughout the facility
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Dress code: Navy blue and white scrubs
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• BLS certification required
• Skills required: MS/Tele experience, PICC team/IV placement competency, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• New York license required in hand to submit
• Not accepting local candidates within 75 miles
• First-time travelers accepted
• Pre-start modules required (up to 10 hours total, 5 hours billable)

The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility utilizes flexible space management within their GI Endoscopy area to adapt to varying patient census demands while maintaining quality patient care standards.
