Key Functions:
- Cleaning, milling and maintaining guides for the gang, rob and band mill.
- Cleaning, milling and maintaining knives
- Handling and maneuvering saws, both round and band
- Changing band and gang saws
- Centering machines within a 0.001 tolerance
- Pouring Babbitt
- Assisting saw filers as needed
- Cleaning and maintaining work area
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Demonstrated leadership in safety processes and consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to safety values
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of planned/preventive maintenance processes
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively team with others while implementing process changes in a rapid pace work environment
- Produce quality work product and capacity to adapt to/learn new technology
- Basic computer skills
- Resume detailing education and experience required for consideration
