Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer / Senior MEP Project Manager to lead complex building systems projects, guide multidisciplinary teams, and serve as a trusted technical partner to clients.

What You’ll Do
- Lead cross-functional electrical and MEP project teams through planning, design, coordination, and construction administration on large, complex facility projects.
- Oversee electrical system design across medium-voltage and high-voltage distribution, commercial power, and mission-critical building infrastructure.
- Manage project performance including budgets, schedules, deliverables, client communications, and quality control.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, submittals, and technical work produced by junior and mid-level engineers.
- Mentor and develop engineering staff, providing technical guidance and contributing to long-term team growth.
- Engage directly with clients, support business development efforts, and help expand presence in the Lincoln and Omaha markets.
- Support design and project delivery for healthcare, educational, federal/DoD, and state/local government facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (Electrical emphasis).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering or MEP design within a consulting or design environment.
- Demonstrated success delivering projects across healthcare, education, federal/DoD, and government sectors.
- Proven capabilities in project management, budgeting, team leadership, and client interfacing.
- Strong technical expertise in medium-voltage/high-voltage distribution and commercial electrical systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required for federal project work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading multi-phase modernization projects, large institutional programs, or complex MEP upgrades.
- Interest or ability to step into a senior technical leadership or office leadership path as the team scales.
- RCDD certification or willingness to obtain.
- Strong writing skills for technical specifications, proposals, and formal project documentation.
