We are seeking a dedicated Medical–Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN) for a night-shift contract assignment. The RN will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and high-quality patient- and family-centered care in accordance with organizational standards and state nursing regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments and timely documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold organizational mission, vision, and values
- Utilize electronic medical records accurately and efficiently
- Active state RN license (must be current)
- Ability to work independently and manage patient care autonomously
- Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity or emergency situations
- Minimum experience: Less than 1 year (newer nurses encouraged to apply)
- BLS/BCLS required
- ACLS required
- Additional certifications may be required or preferred per facility policy, including:
- PALS
- NRP
- NIHSS
- CPI
- ENPC
- TNCC
- STABLE
- Cerner electronic medical record (EMR)
- Bilingual skills not required
Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications and hold the required certifications to be eligible for application.
