We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a travel assignment in San Diego, CA. This role is based in a pediatric outpatient hospital or community-based setting and focuses on early childhood development, serving patients from birth to 3 years old, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This position requires hands-on pediatric clinical experience. School-based experience alone will not be considered.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat pediatric patients with speech, language, and feeding/swallowing disorders
- Provide therapy for children with developmental delays, ASD, and language disorders
- Conduct bedside swallow and oral motor evaluations as needed
- Educate and collaborate with families and caregivers
- Utilize adaptive and augmentative communication tools when appropriate
- Document patient care using EPIC
- Minimum 3 years of Speech-Language Pathology experience
- Direct experience with ages 0–3 years required
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) experience required
- Children’s hospital experience required
- California State SLP License
- CCC-SLP certification
- BLS certification
- Pediatric outpatient experience
- VitalStim certification
- Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Bedside swallow evaluations
- Oral motor therapy
- Experience with developmental and neurodevelopmental disorders
