Seeking a BE or BC Internal Medicine Physician to serve as Medical Director and full-time physician for perioperative services at an orthopedic and spine center in Appleton, WI. The role combines clinical care of surgical patients with leadership in quality improvement, care coordination, and postoperative outcomes management. It is situated on the Fox Rier just 30 miles southwest of Green Bay and 100 miles north of Milwaukee.Seeking a BE or BC Internal Medicine Physician to join our expanding Perioperative Services Team as our first Medical Director and full-time physician at our regional Orthopedic & Spine center in Appleton, WI. - Full-time 1.0 FTE (0.9FTE Clinical & 0.1FTE Medical Director Duties)- Monday-Friday: 8a-4:30p- No call, weekend or holidays- Unique position to care for surgical patients in the inpatient setting while also cross training into an outpatient clinic for preoperative risk stratifications and evaluations. - Role will directly influence quality outcomes of surgical patients including postoperative outcomes, same day surgery cancellations, care coordination, readmission prevention and system mortality index.- Opportunities for quality improvement work.- Exciting opportunity to partner with nearly all specialty practices starting with surgeons, primary care, therapy, cardiology, pulmonary etc all the way through the surgical experience and post-operative phase.Orthopedic, Spine & Pain Center OverviewThe Orthopedic, Spine & Pain Center brings together multiple service lines and partners at one location, creating a new and unique model of care in the community.
