Associate Medical Director - Hospital Medicine (with Stroke Care Focus)Full-Time PositionAbout the Role:Become a key leader in the Department of Hospital Medicine! As the Associate Medical Director, you will champion high-quality, patient-centered care and foster collaboration within the team. You will work closely with the Medical Director on daily operations and take the lead in enhancing stroke care within the department.Key Responsibilities (Shared with Medical Director):•Oversee daily workflow and ensure optimal hospitalist coverage•Manage patient flow and address clinical concerns•Serve in the Administrator-on-Call rotation•Participate in recruitment efforts and hospital committeesDedicated Responsibilities (Stroke Care Focus):•Investigate all stroke-related issues and serve as the primary liaison between Stroke Coordinators and Hospital Medicine•Communicate stroke-related quality measures to providers (e.g., Statin on Discharge, DVT Prophylaxis)•Provide education and updates to the department on stroke protocols and initiatives•Train providers on Rapid Response Team (RRT) stroke protocols and documentation (Stroke Event Note creation)•Ensure department-wide compliance with annual stroke education requirements (manual review/sign-off and two required trainings)Role Structure:•FTE: 0.75 Clinical / 0.25 Administrative•Reports To: Medical Director, Chair of Hospital Medicine
