Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist – Travel Assignment Radius Rule: No local candidates within 50 miles. Certification Requirements Required: ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) BLS (AHA) Experience Requirements EP (Electrophysiology) experience REQUIRED Interventional Radiology (IR) experience REQUIRED Must have experience working in a Cath Lab environment Must be able to perform scrub and monitoring roles Ability to perform procedures for both: Interventional Radiology cases Cardiology/Cath Lab cases Department Details The Cath Lab performs approximately 40% Radiology cases, including on-call coverage for Radiology/IR. Candidates must be comfortable with both IR and Cardiac Cath workflows. Schedule & Call Requirements 4×10-hour shifts 1–2 weekday call nights per week Call every 3rd–4th weekend Candidates must be fully comfortable with call expectations for both IR and Cath Lab. Key Responsibilities Perform scrub and monitor roles for Cath Lab and IR procedures. Assist physicians during interventional and electrophysiology procedures. Operate imaging equipment safely and accurately. Maintain sterile field techniques and proper radiation safety standards. Document procedural data and patient responses. Participate in call rotation and provide emergent coverage. IR Skills Checklist (Include in Submission) Interventional Radiology Required Skills: Vascular access assistance Scrubbing for IR procedures Monitoring hemodynamics Assisting with: Angiography Embolization Drain placements PICC lines Central line procedures Thrombolysis Biopsies Contrast injection protocols Radiation safety & dose monitoring Equipment troubleshooting (fluoro, injectors, monitors)
