American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an acute inpatient and outpatient setting, requiring active state licensure and BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Position is in an acute care setting with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Typical caseload is 8–10 patients per day with diagnoses including general orthopedic, neurological, BPPV, vestibular, and fall cases
- Shifts are typically 8 hours in length with schedules varying between 0700 and 1730
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Uses Cerner EMR system; prior experience preferred
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with a variety of acute and outpatient needs
- Staffing support from PTAs is available
- Department-specific orientation provided, including process and EMR training
- No holiday coverage required
- Scrub color or dress code may change and will be communicated if updated
- Weekend requirements will be specified prior to start
- Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility for certain states (AZ, NV, NE, IA, MN) and 60 miles for others (CO, KS, UT), determined by driver’s license
- Candidates may not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year
- Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapist experience
- Active state or compact (NLC) licensure required at the time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- EMR experience required, preferably with Cerner
- License required if applicable
- Must provide two professional references: one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
- Copy of driver’s license required
