Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Albuquerque, NM 87114 (New Mexico nursing jobs)
• Setting: Operating Room (OR) – Surgical Services
• Contract Type: Travel RN contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/19/2026 – End: 4/20/2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (06:30 – 17:00)
• Weekend Coverage: 1-2 weekend shifts per month
• Call: Required
• Scrubs: Provided
• Unit: 6 operating rooms, daily census of 20 patients
• Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Interpretation Services

OR RN Qualifications

• Active NM or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all required)
• Ability to float to similar clinical units as needed
• Experience with a variety of surgical procedures: hysterectomy, abdominoplasty, joint replacement, appendectomy, pediatric dentistry, ENT, GYN, plastics, and general surgery

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in the operating room
• Assist with advanced surgical procedures using Da Vinci Xi, Mako Surgical Systems, Hana table, and laparoscopic/arthroscopic instruments
• Follow Universal Protocol (Time Out) and specimen handling/labeling standards
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Complete required onsite orientation and training modules
