Position OverviewED Capacity:
42 total beds, including 5 fast-track and 5 monitored beds
3 trauma bays (1 pediatric)
Coverage:
70 hours total physician coverage (Main + Peds ED)
60 hours APP coverage
Admission Rate: 26%
EMR: Meditech, Pdoc, Dragon dictation
Specialty Resources:
Comprehensive stroke facility with biplane
Interventional cardiac cath lab
Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia
Dedicated ED glide scopes & ultrasound machines
Hospital Support:
24/7 in-house hospitalists & intensivists
No floor code or consult responsibilities
Clinical ExpectationsEmergency Department patient care (adult and pediatric)
Coordination with trauma, cardiology, neurology, and intensivist teams
Procedures as required in a Level II Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center setting
RequirementsBoard Certification: ABEM required
Training: EM Residency trained (Required)
Licensure: Active FL license (or eligibility)
