An Anesthesiology Physician specializing in traumatic brain injury (TBI) evaluations conducts interview-based and physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength tests. The role involves diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions without prescribing treatment, and completing standardized disability benefit questionnaires within a designated timeframe. Board certification in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is required, along with proficiency in METs testing and adherence to Medical Disability Advisor (DMA) certification standards.

Details of the TBI Physician opening:
- Anticipated start date: ASAP
- Salary Range: $1,100 daily
- Anticipated duration of assignment: As Needed
- Anticipated schedule: PRN

Daily Range of Responsibilities of the TBI Physician :
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury; exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury
- No prescribing, no treatment
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report; end product is completion of standardized form(s)
- Evaluations to be completed in VES's provider portal and records are reviewed
Qualifications for the TBI Physician :
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 0-3 years of residency
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
- Must be willing to perform Gen Med & TBI
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)
- Active and unrestricted full license
- Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified
- Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if attended school in a different country
